About the NSUC

The Nova Scotia Underwater Council is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a strong and united diving community across Nova Scotia. Since 1971, we've advocated for divers of all levels, promoting marine conservation, safety, and continued education.

NSUC divers

Founded by passionate divers, the NSUC has evolved into a respected resource that connects divers, raises awareness of the underwater world, and protects Nova Scotia's vibrant marine ecosystems.

Our mission is to preserve, promote, and enrich the province's diving culture for future generations. We are proud to represent the interests of divers at all levels — from open-water beginners to Dive Masters — and to build bridges between individual divers, dive shops, clubs, and conservation organizations.
